I am an aspiring change agent with 10 years of experience in consulting, GEOINT, SIGINT, nonlinear optics, and computer programming.I earned my PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2010 at the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) focusing on Passive Optical Limiting. Immediately following this, I produced and taught the 3rd-year electrical engineering introductory optics class at PSU while also working at SRI International. While working at SRI I designed and documented a super-resolution microscope utilizing techniques in nonlinear optics and signal processing. Also while at SRI, I executed research and development on various algorithms and methods involved in geolocation. Aside from technical pursuits, at SRI I focused on the delivery of ideas from theory to marketable opportunity and the successful preparation of proposals.Aside from expanding my technical knowledge and experience, my immediate goals are (1) the growth of my network of technical experts and potential customers, and (2) furthering my capabilities in taking ideas from theory to solution.In the future I plan to leverage my advanced technical knowledge, a high-energy attitude, and potentially an MBA to lead in a research and development division helping to drive scientific concepts from theory to solution.Specialties: Nonlinear optics, liquid crystals, numerical simulation, signal processing, geolocation, computer programming (using C++, Python, MATLAB, sed, awk and perl), and web development (PHP, mySQL, SQLite, Javascript, HTML and CSS.)
