Published his first book, "Logical Logistics - A Common Sense Primer for your Supply Chain" in January 2011. Just joined Hapag-Lloyd AG in May of 2023, after my stints at CakeBoxx Technologies as SVP and Microsoft, where I was Director of Global Logistics Asia, domiciled in Hanoi, Vietnam.As a global account manager, I leverage my expertise in international freight forwarding, port operations, cargo management, and locative logistics to optimize the cargo flow and ensure the safety and integrity of every shipment. I contribute to Hapag-Lloyd's strategy of being number one for quality in the global shipping industry, by aligning our processes, standards, and goals with the needs and expectations of our customers. My mission is to facilitate an empathic supply chain that evolves responsively and reliably to the changing demands of the global market.Prior to Hapag-Lloyd, I had various C level roles with companies like Ports America, Southern Towing Corporation, Kontane Logistics, Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, Ceske Pristavy (Czech Ports), and I spent 17 years with the A. P. Moller Maersk Group. In 2002, my efforts led to the Maersk’s quantum growth in Central Europe, and was named to Fast Company magazine’s debut list of “Fast 50: Global Innovators Whose Achievements Helped Change Their Company or Society.” In 2013, I was named Port Executive of the Year by Global Supply Chain Management Leaders. In 2022, I was honored as a “Top 50 Global Thought Leader & Influencer in Supply Chain & Logistics” by Thinkers360.I earned a BSBA in Organizational Design and Development from West Virginia University’s John Chambers School of Business and Economics and attended the Executive Graduate Education Program at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. I'm a founding member, and currently sit on the board of the Almost Heaven Scholarship Fund and also an 19-year board member of West Virginia University's John Chambers School of Business and Economics. I formerly served on the South Carolina Make a Wish Board, and also served four years on the Board of Governors of West Liberty University.“As a leader, create a culture, empower the believers, and share the success...via speed, trust, accountability, and relationships.” My background reflects solid, consistent results in growth, profitability, and people development. This was achieved in multi-cultural, conservative organizations, over three continents, and with consistency over the many years in the global supply chain and logistics industry.
