Responsible for managing HRIS systems and analytics for the Water and Land Resources Division; providing strategic direction to the HR unit; engaging others in continuous improvement projects; managing and approving federal, state and local protected medical leaves, assisting specialists in providing ADA-type accommodations; sitting at the negotiation table for various collective bargaining agreements; classification reviews and teaching supervisors compensation negotiation; drafting new policies and interpreting existing ones; refining recruitment strategies; leading investigations; giving performance management advice; and anything else that generally helps management mitigate HR-type risk and get the best out their employees.
