This contract role involved delivering a Telecommunications as a Service (TaaS) transition project based on Skype for Business and a Contact Centre as a Service (CCaS) transition project based on Genesys. Both of these projects were for a major government agency having multiples sites across New Zealand.

Delivered an Enterprise wide Skype for Business deployment and migration project covering 850 users across multiple locations. This included managing the technical deployment as well as the business transition to the new collaboration suite. Performed the Stream Lead role across 4 projects which migrated critical network and communications services from Transpower House on The Terrace to the new building on Boulcott Street. This included managing one of the projects.

This role came about as a result of two main factors, firstly the Telecommunications and Networking Programme (T&N) Director retired and, secondly the decision was taken to merge the T&N and Shared Services Programmes into one entity. My first responsibility was to consolidate the two programmes into one cohesive unit.

In this position I lead a team of 3 Project Managers, delivering a portfolio of Tactical telecommunications and network projects. Typically these were projects which were required by the Transpower business but were not on the Business Plan.

In this position, I was responsible for delivering multiple ICT infrastructure projects which formed part of the build of the new TransGO high speed broadband network. This was a nationwide programme which inluded the deployment of critical business services to key sites. I have managed projects encompassing Site Make Ready, Optic Fibre deployment, MPLS, SDH, radio systems, IP Networkind, IP voice and OSS systems as well as network traffic migrations.

In this position, I fulfilled the role of Programme Manager within the Zain account and was responsible for all infrastructure projects undertaken for that customer in the countries of Gabon, The Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo. At any one time, there could be up to eight project managers working on multiple projects reporting to me.

In this role I was Programme and Project responsible for all Data Centre, Core Network, BSC, Access, VAS and IT infrastructure projects throughout the MTN South Africa Network.

During this time, I was a key member of a highly motivated and experienced tender response team, bidding for and eventually winning the full turnkey contract for the rollout of the Cell-C GSM network in South Africa.
