As the development lead, I just continued my previous responsibilities as the Front-end lead, but this time, on the development side, I was exposed more in Shopify plus specific features like Shopify Scripts which required me to learn Ruby in a short span of time and I was required to learn the existing Shopify apps that our previous developers worked on which gave me exposure on complete end-to-end Shopify development. On the leadership side, I was now involved in the team's development roadmap, communication with clients, architecting solutions and providing estimates in the tasks and projects that we worked on.

After being regularized, I was promoted as the Lead Front-end developer of Createur. During this time, I was exposed the back-end side of Shopify store development where I was tasked to maintain middleware cloud functions that relies on Shopify's webhooks and Shopify Admin API to accomplish client's bespoke business requirements. Apart from my daily responsibilities in developing and maintaining stores, I was given the leadership responsibility to help train new developers into learning Shopify theme development.

Createur is an independent digital agency based in Sydney, Australia that composed of a team o Shopify Experts who specializes in complex enterprise solutions built upon Shopify Plus.During my time as a senior react developer, my role on this job was primarily to learn Shopify theming and integrate my knowledge and experience with Front-end development, to implement new features or fix issues to the Shopify themes of the stores that Createur is servicing.

Being the front-end development team lead, I continued all of my responsibilities as a front-end developer and at the same time, I was given the privilege of having a leadership role by providing guidance and mentorship to my teammates.More-challenging projects:The projects that I worked on as an individual contributor have taken up a notch as I went from working on websites to web applications which has a more complex business logic. I had experienced working on projects like CMS front-end in SPAs (AngularJS, React), cross-platform mobile applications(React Native), Ecommerce (React), and React-based SSR websites(React/NextJS). Leadership experience:Working with 8 different developers who have been and/or still a part of the NuWorks front-end team was the most challenging part of my career as I needed to shift my attention not only to my own performance but also the individual performance of my teammates and the performance of our team as a whole. I provided the guidance and intentional mentorship(1-on-1s) to my former teammates which I believed to be extremely valuable as we worked together and for their career in the long run. NuWorks Interactive is a digital agency based in Manila, Philippines. Being the biggest independent agency in the Philippines, NuWorks works with local blue-chip firms in the country. During my tenure as a front-end developer with NuWorks, I was exposed to these blue-chip firms and worked on a lot of user interfaces for certain campaigns for these firms which eventually contributed to the success and growth of our clients and NuWorks. During my tenure with NuWorks, here are specific points that describes my role as a front-end developer:Conversion of psd/adobe xd/ figma to working static websites: The products that I produced ranges from plain websites, websites with scroll-controlled animations, and websites with that requires features that collects information through forms and displays information which I consume from web apis created by our back-end developers. Coordination with back-end developers & qa specialists:I worked side-by-side with back-end developers to integrate my work with CMS like Wordpress and Laravel PHP framework. I also coordinate with our QA as an additional measure to make sure that we deploy cross-browser, cross platform and cross device compatible user interfaces.Coordination with project managers:During project consultation phase, I provide accurate timelines for all the tasks that I need to do which affects front-end development and other factors like dependencies when integrating with back-end developers. During the development, I constantly get in touch with the project managers to let them know the status of the project that I am working on with the intention of finishing my tasks ahead of time.Contribution to the general process of NuWorks' tech team:Aside from my day-to-day as a front-end developer, I was involved in contributing to improvement of development processes by setting front-end development style guides and developing front-end development starter kit for my fellow front-end developers.
