I was directly accountable for:Administration, Sales & Marketing;Production management & materials processing;Implementing & managing OH & S; Training & recruiting (120 staff over a 10 year period);Developing product specifications, including design, sourcing and finishing;Design and construction of specialist packaging;Key vendor & client liaison and management;Creation & management of export licensing and treatment programs (HT). I implemented:Lean Manufacturing & Change management;Quality control systems; Environmental accreditation program (ISO 14000);Computerised load modelling for pallet & case design.My changes resulted in:Considerable cost reductions;Improved manufacturing capacity; Reduced lead times;Increased product diversity;Increased turnover through a 9 year period (12 fold) I established Ex-Pak as a recognised market leader in the Australian wood pallet & case industry, being one of the first businesses to receive AQIS accreditation to ISPM 15 Heat Treat provision (a UN IPPC certified export program for wood packaging).
