As the AVP of Underwriting at Envoy Mortgage, I oversee the day-to-day operations of five underwriting divisions across the country, managing the quality and productivity of underwriters and providing direction and training as needed. I have more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, and I hold two certifications: DE CHUMS and SARS/LAPP, which enable me to handle complex loan files and make appropriate loan decisions based on established credit underwriting guidelines, information, and documentation.I am a result-oriented and strategy-driven leader, with a strong background in being a visionary production leader, leveraging an in-depth knowledge of the marketplace and the manufacturing landscape to significantly increase revenue and operational efficiency. I have a proven track record of developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with onsite team and site management, credit risk, and sales, as well as tracking and monitoring underwriting metrics, including error ratios, quality scores, headcount, customer service communication, and all required service level agreements.
