Heading up the Business Development Team to ensure effective and efficient training and skills support to food and drink businesses right across the UK.As Head of Business Development and a member of the Senior Management Team at the Academy, I’m responsible for developing our Employer Engagement and Delivery Strategy to ensure we’re seen as the first stop for businesses on skills and first stop for high quality providers seeking accredited status.The National Skills Academy for Food and Drink is the industry’s skills organisation. That is when the bakery moved to its current location on Towngate, Mapplewell. This bakery was expanded in 1980 and again in 1990. In 1997 the company expanded yet again with the acquisition of another factory on the Mapplewell Industrial Park. In 2007 the company acquired another plot of land adjacent to the bakery and set out plans for a five year strategy to grow the company beyond the current £10 Million T/O.The company now has 5 bakers’ shops in Yorkshire but the main business is supplying food service and retail markets both fresh and frozen. Customers include major airlines, well known retail chains and caterers throughout Britain and Europe. Fosters Bakery produce on average one million products each week.
