At Temboo I managed a team of three to four QA engineers. Temboo was building a dynamic workflow development tool that allows non-programmers to quickly assemble complex software applications. On the client side, the product featured a drag & drop UX that allowed the creation of high-level visual programming flows. The client was written in Python. On the server side, they were creating a clustered runtime environment in which user-defined workflows are analyzed, parsed into optimized, transaction-safe executable code, and executed on one or more distributed nodes. The server was written in Java.As QA manager, I worked in close collaboration with the engineering staff to define, develop, execute, and automate test plans and test cases. ∗ Created explicated test plans for each discrete area of functionality (server functionality)∗ Created basic Functional and Error test suites for each functional area.∗ Set up a system for automation of basic functional and error tests (regression suite) in PyUnit.∗ Set up XML_RPC plugin for issue tracking system. Wrote a test runner that creates tickets for test suites run and error or failure test cases.∗ Established baselines for performance and load testing.
