Telecommunications Engineer•Perform site visits to assess problem areas of data centers and network areas with regard to cooling, cabling and power issues in conjunction with electrical and mechanical engineers•Develop specifications (16710), layout and design of data center telecommunications enterprise infrastructure from outside plant to desktop• Perform inventory or existing data center equipment and develop power and heat load requirements as well as equipment disposition logs• Layout and design of telecommunication riser closets, data center and intermediate distribution rooms with regard to client requests and requirements• Review RFP bid responses and submittals. Communicate with bidders regarding discrepancies, addendums and revisions• Perform construction site visits and report to client with written reports• Develop telecommunications standards for REVIT 2009CAD Department Supervisor• Manage CAD operations, workload, budget and software application implementation• Create and institute drawing standards and block library for CAD department• Communicate with project managers converting client infrastructure requirements and specifications to full telecommunication drawing sets• Prepare telecommunications drawings for client review and RFP processSpecialties: Commerical and residential structured cabling design, data center and lab design, proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, communication technology project management and construction administration
