I work within Wood Mackenzie's macroeconomics and energy markets team and specialise in Northeast Asia and Australasia energy markets. Specifically, I analyze and forecast energy market trends, including: energy and environmental policies and regulation, energy pricing, sector-level supply and demand by fuel, power generation capacity by fuel, inter-fuel substitution and trade, evolution of economic development and implications for energy end-use by sector, and energy infrastructure developments, future requirements of new LNG and piped gas, etc.

Lead tanker and oil market analyst.

I was the lead analyst in charge of Marsoft's tanker market practice. I monitored global macroeconomic, oil, and tanker market developments, modeled freight rates/earnings and prices, and presented finding to our clients. I authored Marsoft’s quarterly Tanker Market Reports, as well as the monthly Tanker Markets e-Briefs. I conducted scenario planning sessions for the world's largest tanker owners and financiers of tanker vessels and taught an annual course on the oil and tanker markets to shipping executives at the Lorange Institute of Business in Zurich, Switzerland. I also helped in sales and research efforts in the Asia-Pacific.

Analyzed the competitive strategies, positioning, and business models of Asian and European competitors along the natural gas value chain through benchmarking and peer group methodology. Analysis focused on the evaluation of company’s global asset portfolios, reserves, production, and existing and planned gas projects.

The Energy Security Program focuses on the geopolitical, economic, market, and environmental implications of Asia's rapidly growing energy challenges.
