I work on patient-oriented clinical research projects relevant to functional neurosurgery. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), I contribute to planning and conduct of human therapeutic interventional research studies relating to investigational drugs and devices.

Clinical Research Associate in the Department of Neurological Surgery. My responsibilities include facilitating study start-up of industry funded trials, IRB submissions, and managing regulatory documents. This position also requires scheduling procedures for research subjects and the subsequent collection and management of subject data in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and HIPAA guidelines. Additionally, I collaborate with Principal Investigators to develop protocols and informed consent documents for investigator initiated trials; including the submission and management of FDA Investigational Device Exemptions and ClinicalTrials.gov Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS).Lastly, I educate and serve as an expert resource for other research personnel including resident physicians, fellows, and medical students.

Administer health screenings, movement analyses, fitness assessments, and body composition assessments for new and current clients.Design and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs for various populations.Lead group fitness classes of up to 15 adults with an emphasis on muscular strength, muscular endurance, and cardiorespiratory fitness.

I taught an undergraduate lecture, Strength Training and Functional Anatomy. I also assisted in the undergraduate internship program where students completed internships at cardiac rehabilitation clinics and corporate fitness facilities.

Administer various exercise tests including VO2max, lactate threshold, and anaerobic power assessments.
