Assist in managing/troubleshooting an ERP system (XA) installed on an IBM AS/400 midrange series. Over 300 hosts utilize this system across three separate plant locations in Northeast Ohio.● Create new user profiles in IBM and XA according to the departmental security groups, perform data backups on the IBM AS/400 series each night, process backup tapes to an offsite location, work with end-users on resolving issues encountered in the XA environment (system lockups, unlocking users accounts, etc.), perform regular cleaning maintenance on servers, create and print packing labels using TL Ashford label software to Zebra label printers in the XA environment, create documentation for XA processes for end-users, and document XA troubleshooting issues in IT logs.Maintain a Windows OS (10/8/7/Vista/XP) environment across all end users.● Install software updates and image PCs, troubleshoot software and/or OS issues, document new processes within the Windows environment to be later used by IT and/or end-users, unlock/disable/reset passwords for end-users in Active Directory, create new employee Windows profile accounts, set up users VPN, assign departmental security groups in Active Directory to new user accounts, set up physical work stations for new users (monitors, peripheral devices, phones, PC, and work environment applications on PC), set up employees Microsoft exchange accounts for new employees including their Outlook signature, map network drives, remove network access to terminated employees, and document Windows issues in IT logs.Solely responsible for utilizing KnowBe4 cybersecurity service to educate end-users. Participate in new user training sessions with the IT department. Terminate/install CAT 5e/6 cabling for network-connected devices (often using a scissor lift in plant ceilings).
