• Responsible for managing, preliminary engineering review, construction inspection and engineering reviews for all public improvements involving railroad facilities.• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as rail, bridges, signals, roadway and drainage.• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.• Resolve issues with Contractors, including but not limited to, quantities, compliance with contractor documents, and the validity of claims and change orders.• Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers in the development of track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates. • Civil and track engineering assignments include drainage, structural, and utilities tasks.• Project Manager support includes the development of design criteria, project guides, project meeting notes, and project controls. • Worked independently on small projects or assists more senior engineers on larger projects.
