CurrentMake the world's knowledge of the quantitative sciences easily accessible, especially physics, chemistry, and biology, and also mathematics in a form that both computers and humans can understand, use, and extend. Then use this quantitative/computable knowledge to shift the borderline of what a computer (program) can understand, compute, and predict.Concretely this means advancing and broadening the Wolfram|Alpha website and the Wolfram Language by:* collecting, normalizing, curating, and efficiently storing (small and big) data and algorithms (mathematical formulas and structures, physics formulas, chemical reactions, units and measures, chemicals, foods, species, stars, earthquakes, ...)* implementing classic and innovative data-analyzing statistics for these data* creating enlightening and visually pleasing mathematical and data visualizations* maintaining and extending the framework for units, measures, and physical quantities to describe the properties of the physical world in a quantitative manner* handling natural language questions about the data and properties of the world* ensuring that the data can seamlessly used within the Wolfram Language in more complex calculations and visualizationsCreate and direct initiatives to make Wolfram|Alpha answer more questions from the natural sciences and advanced mathematics; and lead teams to realize these initiatives. And continuously improve the quality and scope of the answers to questions that Wolfram|Alpha can already answer. For a more programmatic use of scientific and other data, embed Wolfram|Alpha's computable knowledge into the Wolfram Language.Also responsible for analyzing the Wolfram|Alpha query stream and deriving appropriate conclusions from the questions and provided answers to grow the website's scope and usage.Also a member of the Wolfram Data Summit organizing committee, one of the first and most innovative yearly meetings devoted to Data.
