Promoting and explaining the Commission’s policy and decisions in competition matters – M&A, antitrust and State aid.

Responsible for following the Council's activities at all levels (Ministers, Permanent Representatives Committee, Working parties) and for providing day-to-day information to the media. This included drafting of information notes and press releases, giving assistance to the Presidency in their contacts with the media and also some managerial tasks. I mainly covered the COREPER I policy areas and more particularly: Internal market, Industry, Labour and Social affairs, Environment, Telecommunications/ Information Society and Culture

Project manager in the Consumer Information and Education Unit.Helping to set up the EU-sponsored cross-border Consumer Information Centres (now European Consumer Centres, ECC). Responsible for the Commission’s participation in the Santander Film and TV Festival on Consumption and Quality of Life. Also involved in an information campaign about consumers’ rights in the single market, and in the management of contracts with consumer associations.
