As an IS Architect at Bon Secours Health System my role is to help our team align business and IT within our area of influence. Our team spends a lot of time partnering with the technologists and leaders throughout our seven local systems in an effort to make them more successful. We facilitate many engagements and meetings between our organization and vendors that align with our strategy.

It is the responsibility of the IS Associate Architect to lead the workstation management initiatives for Bon Secours local systems and enterprise application implementations, and to chair the standards workstation subgroup for desktop and laptop models. This position is responsible for managing the enterprise implementation of the desktop management tool and facilitating the geographically dispersed user group. The IS Associate Architect will also be responsible for architecture governance and compliance reporting in several practice areas including but not limited to network, server and desktop. The Associate Architect will participate in and occasionally lead architectural reviews of new or changing technologies. Occasionally, the Associate architect will be called upon to assist in the master file management for ConnectCare as it pertains to workstations, printers and business continuity. The IS Associate Architect will act as a resource for Bon Secours departments and business units on workstation requirements, and will work closely with enterprise IS, local system IS, and ConnectCare project leadership in ensuring that ConnectCare end user computing is an architecturally sound solution.

• Manage process for identifying, populating, and maintaining clinical workstations in the ConnectCare IS environments. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Epic Workstation Registry (LWS) master file, and its references to the associated Printer Device (EPR), Device (DEV), and Device Type (FDV) master files. Assure that workstations can be quickly added and moved within the system even in off-hours so that patient care is not impacted.• Work with the architecture teams to track vendor hardware roadmaps to make smooth transitions to new models. Accumulate all related drivers and develop images for new hardware that all local systems can adopt. • Provide system administration for the enterprise desktop management suite for functions like hardware imaging and software distribution. Collaborate with local and enterprise teams in the development of best practices in areas like inventorying, application packaging and workstation builds. • As appropriate, assure changes to workstations, workstation systems, and applications progress through a controlled and traceable path, in compliance with BSHSI IS Change Management policies and procedures. Assure approved changes and their impacts are communicated in advance to affected customers and support staff.• Participate in project meetings as appropriate and demonstrate the ability to concisely articulate risks and issues to technical and non-technical personnel.• Knowledgeable in the organizational processes, policies, procedures, and business operations as they relate to enterprise IS and the ConnectCare project.• Serve as second level support in problem escalation and resolution; participating in task force meetings as necessary.• Other duties as assigned, especially as relates to workstation configurations and deployments.
