I am part of the Herbert Smith Freehills ALT Corporate team. As a global team we spend our days designing and implementing nifty legal solutions for our clients. At the heart of most of our solutions are the three focus areas of People, Process, and Technology, but each bespoke solution requires a different weighting applied to each.I have ten years' legal experience, having laid down my roots in one of South Africa's large law firms. This provided my with a strong corporate foundation to transition across to ALT and focus in on the unique solutions we look to champion.I will always be intrigued by corporate and commercial law. The spaces we operate in can be seen as the narrowing of the hour glass, where parties doing business start getting serious, pressures mount, serious decisions have to be considered and taken quickly etc. It's an energising, stimulating space to work in.I have an accounting degree and am busy with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, so naturally I am drawn to all things finance and data related.I am a new father (talk about steep learning curve); outdoors adventurer (the mild stuff); runner; golfer; tennis player. My real passion is fly-fishing because it takes me to some amazing locations. I try to get through one moderate to complex Sudoku puzzle a day.
