About Michael Vann
I'm just a storyteller looking for the next great story to tell. All the way back in grade 5, a dreaded book report was assigned that would somehow change my life. I elected to read “Little Women” and present a report to the class. I was so moved by the story and the characters that I knew a simple stand-and-deliver report would never do the book justice. The story deserved more and I took my responsibility to honor this piece of literature seriously. I had to find some way to bring these characters to life for the rest of my class. I arranged for different classmates to play the characters of the story and directed a live performance that documented the events of the novel like the daily news. Luckily, my friends were really great about the whole thing and my teacher loved it! Now, when I think back to that project I realize that is the moment when I knew I wanted to be a storyteller.Over the course of my career, I have applied that same careful dedication to storytelling. I’ve been lucky enough to travel across North America, work with some of the best talent in the industry, and learn exactly what it means to dedicate your career to tell the stories that deserve to be told.Oh, and just so we're clear- The 1992 Little Women movie will always be my favorite, but Greta Gerwig also killed it. Of course, the book is best. There you have it.
