Other duties include: ● Performing technical tasks, such as ArcGIS queries, SQL Server queries, pivot tables, and overall data analysis as it relates to project operations.● Ensuring technicians are recording the appropriate level of data in O-Calc. ● Performing QC checks from onshore and offshore teams. ● Providing daily support to desktop review offshore teams and DAT GIS Technicians.

Introduced and utilized various programs, including GeoTab, to implement cost-saving measures. Traveled to India to set up a new offshore QC program. In addition: ● Ensured field technicians adhere to safety requirements by providing safety and quality control checks.● Assessed employee performance and provided feedback for field technicians, including preparing employee reviews.● Provided daily support to field technicians via phone, computer, and in-person.● Maintained and repaired equipment in the field.● Provided weekly and monthly project status reports including meetings with Southern California Edison project managers.

Southern California

Implemented UDC field procedures to collect and inventory utility poles for the Southern California Edison and Google Fiber projects. Displayed self-management skills and a keen attention to safety and quality while consistently achieving high levels of production. These achievements resulted in a promotion to the position of Field Manager. In addition:● Recorded overhead electric line data on a field computer using ArcPad and Spida using True Pulse laser and digital camera. ● Communicated clearly with SCE customers to convey the purpose of the project.● Demonstrated the ability and desire to travel throughout California and Tennessee.

North Carolina

Ensured a clear and concise understanding of rules and regulations of SCA protocol while training five crew members for the Community Wildfire Prevention Plan. Fostered a positive work environment and managed project completion timelines according to the North Carolina Division of Forest Resources (NCDFR). Boise, Idaho Area

Had the responsibility of recruiting and providing training to six interns on the implementation of the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) Tracking and Reporting Accomplishments for the Conservation of Species (TRACS) survey process. Conducted a trail inventory using the Fish and Wildlife Service TRACS survey system, which involved measuring trail length and evaluating trail features and conditions using a Trimble GPS unit. In addition: ● Trained interns on ESRI products such as ArcMap 10, ArcPad 10, ArcCatalog, and ArcToolbox extensions, and field collection methods.● Facilitated the training of interns for several months to ensure proper collection of GIS data and other inventory data to meet QA/QC goals.● With minimal supervision organized schedules and meetings with FWS refuge managers, as well as managed logistical monthly budgets. ● Utilized ArcPad, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcServer and Microsoft Access, and Excel.

Served as a Type II Wildland Firefighter and Geographical Information Systems Specialist Trainee at the Anadarko Agency, where duties included aiding in fire prevention and initial attack (IA) operations.. In addition:● Created and maintained occurrence maps of fires started on and around tribal trust and restricted land using ESRI Spatial Analyst. ● Provided training to Fire Manager Officers in the regional offices, presenting techniques that integrate GIS maps into Google Earth and PDF formatting for spatial interpretation of fire occurrence. ● Using specific cartographic principles, produced maps for distribution among firefighters. ● Learned to understand how NEPA, EIS, and EA play an integral part in the burning process. ● Evaluated impacts that a future burn may have on a natural resource in the future.

Oklahoma Fire Center NIFC-BIA/ SCA INTERNMARCH 2009 - MARCH 2010, OKLAHOMA CITY, OKAssisted the Wildfire Prevention and Mitigation Program by conducting hazard and risk assessment maps, fire cause statistical analysis, and wildfire prevention planning using GIS technology. In addition:● Generated maps for the Chickasaw, Anadarko, Wewoka, Osage, and Muskogee wildland prevention plans.● Detailed land status map books for Southern Plains Region. ● Used 3rd party software to create maps on Garmin units such as e-Trex.Sonoran Desert Network (SODN)/ SCA INTERNMARCH 2009 - MARCH 2010, TUCSON, AZServed as an SCA intern on a crew collecting vegetation and soil data at Chiricahua National Monument. Established vegetation and soil sampling plots, collected point intercept, soil stability, and cover data. In addition:● Responsible for GIS data entry for polygons delineated in the field.● Skills required included GIS knowledge, plant identification skills, the use of Trimble and Garmin GPS units, and navigating rough terrain regularly.North Cascades National Park (NOCA)/ SCA INTERNMARCH 2009 - MARCH 2010, SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WAServed as an SCA intern identifying and mapping invasive plant species. Duties included identifying a list of 25 invasive plant species and marking the point of these exotics with a Garmin GPS unit. In addition:● Collected and used data to create a poster using ArcMap to show the relation of plants to human influence. ● Maintained an ArcGIS Geodatabase with the data from past seasons when data was collected.
