I'm generally a hacker with a focus on social impact.I'm currently building open-source projects with a focus on telehealth, remote patient monitoring and broadband internet accessibility. We recently launched https://www.broadbandmapping.com to help local governments identify the highest impact geographies for internet infrastructure investment. We've also run remote monitoring experiments in rural Alaska to see how consumer devices can be used to track conditions such as pre-eclampsia and heart failure.My side-gig is co-founding a Neurology Practice with a physician in the San Jose area with a focus on stroke care and epilepsy. Our goal is to grow the practice into a technology playground where we can safely and rapidly innovate on patient experience within the context of Neurology.At prior Y-Combinator funded businesses I've co-founded, I’ve worked on the full gamut of health-tech including (but not limited to) building EMR integrations, remote monitoring, patient experience/ instant messaging, quality improvement programs, billing data pipelines, lab ordering systems etc.I also previously co-founded HealthSherpa which sold 1/3rd of all health plans sold through Healthcare.gov this past open-enrollment season.
