Mike has led the design of 29 learning games (and counting) across a variety of domains including affective neuroscience, astrophysics, regenerative medicine, implicit bias, and environmental science.To achieve success, Mike has honed his ability to work effectively with faculty, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders through an iterative approach to map gameplay mechanics to a variety of learning objectives. Beyond designing and developing games themselves, Mike also works closely with outreach organizations to engage with the local communities to learn through playing games and to inform the design of future games through focus groups and playtesting.
