As part of the Groupe Nordik, I am responsible for thirteen companies, trusts and partnerships. I often have to work on different companies in different contexts on the same day. Overall, I am responsible for financial statements and reviews of such; intercompany transfers, cash controls, regular payment schedules, sales taxes, and general problem solving. The busiest company is a construction company that does customized projects. This comprises oversight of subcontractors in construction of residences, a distillery and a grocery. I evaluated alternative financial accounting programs with the aim of improving productivity in the construction company. Other companies hold residential buildings where rent vs costs must be closely followed. Various government reports on the residences must be submitted on time. Another company is a not-for-profit which has to follow strict government procedures and deadlines for funding. Finally, I also handle the financial statements of a partnership.

Controller for Meat Wholesaler and Distribution company, plus building company. Manage receivables, payables and other liabilities, daily cash management, and three finance employees. Advise on profitability of customers and pricing. Manage challenges with key suppliers. Present financial statements to management and external stakeholders. Analyze WACC to manage interest expense.

Responsible for Financial Statements, Month End Adjustments, Deferred Revenue and WIP Analysis, Chart of Accounts, Payroll, Risk Management, Project Profitability Analysis (including Overhead (Burden) Application), Supervision of Clerks, Sales and Income Tax Compliance, general ERP (Epicor) troubleshooting, in-depth Review of Contracts, Inventory, and application of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).

Varied duties including Payables, responding to vendors, cheque runs, helping manage WIP revenue into Invoice Revenue, Accounting, and recording Capital Expenditures and Prepaids.

Typical AR duties (collections) in Great Plains. Supplemental analysis comprises confirmation of batch invoice preparation, validating recognition of revenue on unpaid invoices, creating succinct reports on analyses in Excel.

CFO for local provincial campaign (Ottawa South Electoral District). Recognized expenses as per Ontario's Elections Finances Act. Managed funds ($50K), provided financial status reports to managers a few times a week, recognized donations, ensured compliance with regulations.

On a 3-month contract, prepared invoices in SAP, did some work order costing analysis, analyzed aging receivables and followed up on collections, analyzed accruals (progress billing), updated work orders, corrected inventory information, served clients' special billing needs.

Responsible for accounting for and managing over $100K of dollars under the regulations of the Elections Act and Elections Canada. Ensure cost effectiveness and oversee budgeting. Offer supporters tax receipts and manage extensive records (paper and electronic).

Intermediate Accountant position comprising Accounts Receivable (Collections), various analyses, budgeting, End-of-Month and of-Year reconciliations, productivity analyses, skills in Ajera and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables).
