Michael Weiss, the President of Sebago Associates, LLC, provides solutions across multiple financial services channels. With operational, business leadership and consulting experience in US and international settings, Michael's focus is on the integration of technology, people, and business practices. Successful track record identifying profitable opportunities, improving service levels, building out capacity, managing operating risks and developing strong teams. He has led growth initiatives, thoughtfully exercised expense management, and steered organizations through times of change.Michael has managed and consulted across buy side and sell side organizations, as well as providing advise to technology purveyors, custodians, transfer agents and recordkeepers. His experience has included opportunities to work in thriving companies managing ongoing businesses, developing products for distribution, enhancing client satisfaction and developing cultures of compliance. Additionally, he has led and participated on teams in tackling turn around situations, start-up challenges, business sales and acquisitions, and has had provided advise to private investment firms with operational due diligence and governance perspectives. Michael has led the transformation of a firm from proprietary product distribution to initiate an open architecture advisory and brokerage platform, designed a multi-legal entity wealth management re-engineering, built out a family office proprietary trading capability and reporting from concept, and has collaborated on multiple Wealth Management and Capital Markets initiatives. He presently sits on the Advisory Board of two start-up firms building new private security marketplaces and providing a new client facing investment management interface. In addition to consulting Michael has been an Adjunct Professor at Mercy College, lectured at other institutions and served as a Career Coach at WJCS focused on helping clients articulate and evolve their ‘personal brand’.
