At Paramount Doors, I worked as part of the manufacturing team, focusing on the production of roller doors. My responsibilities included painting barrels for doors, endlocking lats, strapping bundles for delivery, and operating the baler machine. I also prepared doors by cleaning them for powder coating. In this role, I paid close attention to detail and ensured that all components were ready for the next stages of production, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Additionally, I spent two weeks on-site assisting another employee with the installation of roller doors, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field. I mostly worked during school summer breaks, but also covered shifts during Halloween, Easter, Christmas, and weekends throughout my first and second years at university.

After leaving secondary school, I worked at IJM Timber Engineering on the partition wall production line to save money for university. My primary responsibilities included assembling timber walls by nailing planks together with a nail gun, stapling plywood sheets to the backs, and installing insulation. I then covered the insulation with plastic sheeting and used a suction device to lift plasterboard sheets onto the walls, securing them with a staple gun. I regularly operated the stapler machine, where I configured settings via the screen to ensure accurate stapling placements for each wall. Once the walls were stapled, I removed them from the machine, wrapped them in plastic, and used a crane with a handheld control to lift and load them onto pallets for delivery. While my main duties were on the partition wall line, I also spent some days rotating around different areas of the factory, assisting with various tasks to support overall production. This role provided me with hands-on experience across multiple stages of the manufacturing process
