Goodzuma is a crowdsourcing platform that promotes time-efficient collaboration among senior creative executives. Partnered with Chad Boettcher (Senior Exec at Gore Campaign, MTV, Obama Campaign, Nike, Weber Shandwick, Participant Media) and in 8 months, secured 12 Fortune-150 companies as clients with contracts ranging $5k-$35k. One of our clients used the platform to secure a $50mm deal with a Fortune-50 company.Coordinated product management initiatives on our platform with large clients including Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, Sprint, Motorola, Nespresso, Bank of America, Aveda, BET, Gates Foundation, GM, MasterCard, Myspace, and ensured smooth collaboration with employees who used our platform across 30+ countries Partnered with Interbrand and Harvard University to organize the New Age of Corporate Citizenship Conference which attracted top CMOs from global brands (IBM, Pepsi, AmEx, Google, Coca-Cola), 50 of the attendees used our platform at the conference to brainstorm solutions for City Year to more effectively engage big brands in corporate citizenship.Spearheaded social initiative with wecanendthis.org, United Way NY, Rainforest Alliance, asked them to provide us with challenges for the public to solve, attracted 100+ submissions, awarded paid fellowships to implement their ideas to 4 challenge participants.Goodzuma was acquired by Weber Shandwick in 2011.

BASE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that took low income, disadvantaged youth from the brink of dropping out of high school to achieving high marks at competitive four year universities. Raised $500k+ from Deutsche Bank, Henry Kaiser Family Foundation, Boston Capacity Tank, other foundations, and individual donors. Raised $130k in one month to host presidential gala in celebration of President Obama's inauguration, brought Pepsi on board as title sponsor without pre-existing relationship, booked Dionne Warwick and John Legend as headliners. Conducted extensive research on preventing drop-outs by surveying 1000 New Yorkers, interviewing 200 high school students, and interviewing 18 drop-outs, presented findings at conference called Winning Strategies for Young Black Men co-hosted by Sullivan and Cromwell LLP and Goldman Sachs.A total of 50 students completed the program, graduated from high school, and went to college.Results:1) Average incoming GPA is 2.6 and average outgoing GPA is 3.22) Average SAT score of 1250, compared to national average of 1100 3) Over course of program, BASE scholars donated 800 hours of community service 4) BASE had 100% internship placement and retention for 10 weeks over the summer, 93% of employees were satisfied with productivity levels5) Had 100% high school graduation rate, compared to school-average of 30% graduation rate 6) Had 100% college retention rate compared to 20% national college retention rate for low-income students from minority backgrounds 7) Our students attended and graduated from 48 top colleges including: Brown, Columbia, NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Dartmouth, and Amherst
