At the behest of our CEO and Executive Vice President of Sales, the top 6 managers in the company were asked to report to Headquarters to spearhead a brain trust who would bring together the field's needs and corporate's needs as they relate to compensation, operations, corporate governance and SFA (Sales Force Management). We met for a fulll week every two weeks to analyze progress with the vendor team (Oracle/IBM) and compare what the 'must haves' are vs. the 'nice to have' issues, knowing that each feature costs money. By using these best practices and the best of the best, we were able to come up with a solution with what we were told was the highest adoption rate in the industry.
