I am a Consultant at Russell Kennedy with more than 25 years experience advising the health and medical sector on all aspects of commercial law. My clients represent a diverse range of organisations and individuals including hospitals, medical and allied health care practices, professional associations and regulatory bodies, Community Health Services, Medicare Locals, charitable and not-for-profit organisations and government and statutory authorities. I assist these clients with a diverse range of public and administrative law, commercial and contract law and corporate and clinical governance legal issues. A significant part of my practice is centered on assisting Boards of health organisations to understand their legal obligations in promoting and implementing effective governance structures, assisting them to develop governance policies and implementing risk management strategies.Outside of Russell Kennedy I hold a number of other positions including: Chair of Peninsula Health, Holmesglen TAFE and Wellways Australia; former President of the National Ageing Research Institute (NARI), former Chair of the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA ) and Chair of the Victorian State Government’s health services Expert Review Panel.Former Chair of the Vic EO and Human Rights Commission Recognised by Best Lawyers as the health and aged care Lawyer of the year for Melbourne in 2013 and 2021 and 2024
