Key member of trial and litigation team in declaratory judgment patent litigation action (re automated negotiation engines) that resulted in a favorable, mid-trial settlement for Ariba, overseeing defensive document, written, and deposition discovery efforts, as well as preparing expert reports and summary judgment motions re non-infringement. Agere Systems Inc. v. Atmel Corporation (E.D. Pa). Member of trial and litigation team that successfully defended Atmel, securing a jury verdict of invalidity of all four asserted patents (re semiconductor fabrication).Additional case teams: In re Katz Litigation (MDL to C.D. Conducted legal research in support of various litigation matters.

Helped found the FIGs Program (from zero to 900 participants), a major state university program and centerpiece of recruitment efforts for first-year students. Supervised staff of 50. Designed and implemented transition course and training programs, including diversity workshops. Authored contents, created marketing, and coordinated distribution of comprehensive mailings to 800 prospective students. Designed and implemented strategies for early registration of 3600 first-year students. Advised university administration on improving first-year experience. Received 1998 Excellence in Education Award for contributions to undergraduate education through the program.

Lectured pre-calculus to class of 200 students, designing exams and supervising teaching assistants. Taught differential equations and university calculus, developing lectures and exams. Received Donald K. Anderson Graduate Student Teaching Award, 1994.

Designed curriculum and taught English as a second language to teenagers and adults at a privately-funded summer school in the former East Germany.
