Simply stated, I have never been shy to step into roles where things are messy. From my early days as an engineer and quality manager in the fast-paced automotive industry, I was always looking for ways to improve business operations.After completing my MBA, I had the fortune of working with some of the top finance leaders at the Ford Motor Company. Under their leadership, I received invaluable guidance on how to run a high-quality finance and accounting organization.I applied my learnings to a progression of leadership roles in the automotive and construction products industries. In all cases, I improved the top line and bottom line by digging into the details and partnering closely with business leaders to steer the company in a more successful direction. Key achievements over the course of my career include: • Helped save an e-mobility company from bankruptcy through cutting costs by $1M, increasing sales by $5M and completing the sale of the business to a private investor.• Completed an in-depth analysis of a new venture for an engineering plastics company’s in Brazil, revealing that the proposed acquisition was performing poorly and not a strategic fit – prevented a loss of over $3M. • Launched a Cognos reporting tool for an infrastructure company that helped decrease the closing process by two days and reduced headcount by 30% in the finance department. I have worked with exceptionally large businesses, as well as small startups in both Canada and the US. I am currently seeking full-time, interim or consulting opportunities.
