Mike Michalski has a passion for service and the customer experience. Mike Michalski’s calling to service began with his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his tours and deployments he specialized in technology and finding innovative ways to best serve his fellow Marines in any climb and place. During this time Mike honed his tactical lead from-the-front approach as well as how to effectively drive change across teams and organizations. Following his enlistment, Mike returned from North Carolina to Omaha and began working at Valmont in the Irrigation segment as a System Analyst. Soon after he accepted a position within the Coatings segment, where he helped grow the division from a single location to over 37 global locations today. During this time Mike completed his MBA. Mike’s current role began in 2017 with a dedicated focus on driving business innovation and leading demand creation across Valmont. Mike’s small but passionate team is exclusively focused on transforming the coating’s industry and have invented numerous market-disrupting innovative technologies that are leveraged across their worldwide operations. Noteworthy innovations include GalvTrac®, the Valmont Coatings Connector®, KettleVision® (Camera AI) and most recently the Valmont Coatings Connector MAX®. VCCMax is the world’s first fully cloud-based Job Shop solution that connects employees, locations and customers around the globe in a single consolidated system. Login credentials deliver a precise and fully tailored experience across all international employees, locations and customers. The system was designed to improve the customer experience as well as digitally transform the company’s internal operations. VCCMax replaced 27 on-prem systems and successfully eliminated the “black hole” in the industry by connecting customers directly to their product from the time it arrives on-site to the time it is delivered back to the customer, and every step in between.
