Responsible for IT infrastructure related operations including servers, server hardware, the SAN, and the management and monitoring of those systems. I am also the Exchange [2010] administrator.Our current environment is primarily virtual; 97% of our servers [112 VMs] exist in VMware 5. Server hardware consists of 2 Cisco UCS 5108 Chassis’ with B200-M3 blade servers connecting to the network with Cisco 6248 Fabric Interconnects [redundant pair] all connected to a NetApp FAS2240-2 for storage [approx. 40TB usable] using multipath redundancy [dual controllers] and RAID DP. This system was installed by an outside vendor but I was a senior member of the team that transitioned us from the standard client-server environment to the system detailed above and am responsible for its ongoing management.I have received formal classroom training [as well as online study] for both the UCS and the NetApp environments.I’m also responsible for our systems disaster recovery; our primary systems are housed at an outside datacenter and one of our facilities in Frisco is our DR site. We use VMware’s Site Recovery Manager in conjunction with NetApp’s SnapMirror technology. This configuration moves operations to our DR site within a very short period of time allowing us to continue operations.

As Implementation Engineer I was responsible for all new installations of hardware and\or software for new clients and for existing clients who are upgrading/migrating. This has given me experience in building systems from inception to a fully functioning business system. I also doubled as Field Engineer in between new projects.
