Special Projects Ga, Ohio UniversityOhio University Aug 2017 - May 2018Athens, OhWorking in the Ohio University College of Business has been a new and comprehensive experience for me. My role has been to help any faculty member with various roles when they need help. I have spent time working on multiple research projects doing preliminary and secondary research and compiling spreadsheets. I have spent time grading a sales class on their voicemails, follow up face-to-face meetings with me and then a final face-to-face meeting where they practice closing the deal. I have also graded a classes final research paper.Working on and grading undergraduate class work has helped me see the learning objectives from the other side of the fence. I have been able to see what works and what does not work in a sales perspective by being the person salespeople were selling to. This has been one of the most beneficial opportunities in my young sales career. -
Ticket Sales InternCoastal Carolina University May 2017 - Aug 2017Conway, ScCoastal Carolina University has just moved into Division I football. This means that they were required to have a seating capacity of 15,000 people. The stadium previously held 9,000. This meant we needed to sell a lot of tickets this summer. My role with Coastal Carolina had me working in a variety of roles. First and foremost, I was selling tickets. I spent a week creating a spreadsheet of all churches, youth groups, Elementary/Middle/High Schools and retirement communities within a 2 hour radius of campus. Once this spreadsheet was create, I was tasked with making around 50 calls per day in attempt to make group sales. I was to document my result (if I needed to follow up with an email, call again next week, etc.). Once I had made preliminary contact, I was to pass the clients off to my boss if an organization showed interest. Aside from ticket sales, I was in charge of helping sell for the student organization. I created a 20 minute powerpoint that either myself or my boss would present during freshman orientation sessions, which there were approximately 20 of over the course of the summer. I also had many other various roles, such as dress up as the mascot at promotional events, create new sections of the stadium in our ticket sales database, organize and distribute season tickets to ticket holders and work the ticket sales window if people decided to come buy tickets in our office. This experience taught me about the industry. Being in a small organization, I was able to get my hands on every aspect of what we did in office. This was a valuable sales experience for me that will go a long day in my career in sales. -
Guest Relations AgentThe Masters At Augusta National Golf Course Apr 2014 - Apr 2017Augusta, Georgia AreaThe Masters Tournament is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the southeastern United States, in city of Augusta, Georgia. My role throughout the duration of tournament week began as a stocker in the Main Golf Shop. During my first two years, this role required me to maintain stock for a variety of women high end apparel. I was in charge of organizing merchandise and strategically monitoring remaining inventory. By weeks end, most apparel items would sell out so it was important to accurately account for each item. The accomplishment of successfully selling out multiple trailers filled with inventory over the course of one week without a single item of clothing going unaccounted for was a fulfilling experience. After two years of serving my time as a stocker, I was then promoted to being a guest relations agent in Berkmans Place. Berkmans Place is one of the most high end hospitality areas in the world. This exclusive place gave patrons access to five all inclusive restaurants, with chefs flown in from different regions of the world to cook signature dishes, access to replica putting greens that were rolled and regulated each morning with the same care as the greens on the course, and all inclusive drinks as well. My role was to provide answers to all inquiries as well as strictly monitor and record access to the business center. Being part of such an iconic world class event has prepared me for success. Seeing the attention to detail, organization and quality of service required to give your guests an over-the-top experience is something I will take with me forever.

Student Manager - FootballUniversity Of South Carolina Jul 2016 - Dec 2016Columbia, South CarolinaThe University of South Carolina football team is an SEC, large scale operation. Being a part of this was certainly an example of working for something much larger than yourself. My role within the organization was a student manager, specifically assigned to the tight ends. This means that every day, I was in the office 2 hours prior to practice. I had to review the script for practice that day, make sure all my players had their proper equipment, and have all the proper equipment for drills we would be running that day. During practice, I was responsible for setting up all tight end drills. When the team practiced all together, I was responsible for scripting all the specifics of each play we ran so that when the coaches reviewed practice film they could follow along easily. After practice I would do laundry and get set up for the next day. I was a member of the permanent travel team as well, which means I had to pack our massive truck for away games with all necessary equipment, travel with the team, set up the locker room and work on game day. My duty on game-day was to hold up signs in accordance to defensive scheme, and on offense hold up signs to block signals from the opponents press box. This experience proved to be a massive learning experience in patience, in organization, in discipline and in hard work. I will use the skills acquired through this experience in life moving forward. Any long-houred job or manual labor i have felt with since this experience has seemed minuscule in comparison. -
Marketing And Management InternHanes Brands Australasia Jun 2015 - Aug 2015Winston-Salem, North CarolinaHanes Brand is a massive clothing company. Their headquarters is also the headquarters to their secondary company Champion Brand, which is a large activewear company. My role in this organization was to conduct marketing analysis. I frequently was tasked with Gap Analysis, Trend Analysis and Competitive Analysis for different lines in both Hanes and Champion. I would make excel documents and present my finding to my boss. Working in the headquarters of a major successful company was a great experience. I was able to sit in on many meetings conducted by my boss and my boss's boss and got to get a good taste of how they conducted business on a day-to-day and week-to-week level. This job has prepared me for my next step by giving me a great experience in marketing. Working in headquarters had me working with highly successful individuals on a daily basis. Sitting in on meeting and even getting the opportunity to participate was an amazing and educational experience. -
Game Day Sponsorship Activation Intern -South Carolina FootballImg College Aug 2014 - Nov 2014Columbia, South Carolina AreaIMG college is a sports marketing company that activates and sells sponsorships to corporate sponsors. In this situation I was working in the University of South Carolina property of the IMG college division. The gamecock village is an area near the stadium where fans gather for free giveaways, cheerleaders routines and music. My role in this organization was to activate corporate sponsorships in the Gamecock Village on football game days. I would arrive 6 hours prior to kickoff and set up the multitude of sponsor tents. I would work one of the tents and activate our sponsors give-a-ways. For example: John Deer would have a tractor give-a-way where if the Gamecocks returned the first punt of the game for a touchdown, there would be a lucky tractor winner. People would enter their email, name and phone number and agree to promotional emails being sent to them. After halftime of the game, we would tear down the entire area and organize tents and other items until the next week. This experience helped open my eyes to how sponsorship activation worked. I was on the front lines of activation and first hand was able to see what these sponsors were paying for, and the benefit that came with what they were doing. This was an important experience for me as corporate sponsorships are the field I am most interested in moving forward.
