Engineering is a passion because of my strengths of problem solving and critical thinking. I have been fortunate to demonstrate that interest through several opportunities.Early in my exploration of engineering, I was honored to serve as the team captain for our Robotics team. Having access to all phases of design and build was enlightening.My senior design project with Anheuser-Busch was to develop a single head manual filler that could fill both cans and bottles. We faced several hurtles including gathering materials and assembling a prototype. It was very fruitful to work with a team to share ideas and continue to refine. The final product did achieve the functionality goal but exceeded the production price cost benefit analysis.Recently I have taken advantage of the opportunity for hands on engineering through restoration of a muscle car. My interest in piloting airplanes has not waned so this year I took the time to complete ground school certification. Every day is an opportunity for new engineering discoveries.
