After successfully representing my fellow taxpayers on the recently completed Chicopee High School, I was once again appointed by the Mayor and City Council to serve on another building commission for the new Chicopee Comprehensive High School.Worked with a commission of 17 members to oversee and manage the construction of a brand new $92-million High School and Career Technical Education Facility. Worked closely with the architect, project manager, general contractor, and sub-contractors to ensure taxpayers received quality and value for their investment. Regularly participated in discussions with the Superintendent of Schools, Principal, Department Heads, Teachers, City Officials and other Stakeholders to review goals for the project, then worked to bring those objectives to fruition.Also served on the Bills Sub-Committee where we were responsible to review and authorize each invoice presented for payment against the project. Worked with everyone to solve or mitigate the numerous logistical and financial challenges which can arise on a construction project of this size.

Assisted instructor in teaching television production basics to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders during summer program.Setup and engineered television studio equipment each morning in preparation for the days work.Supervised the production of a weekly newscast-style program, which was displayed for parents at the end of the course.
