Practice Manager - Hospital Based Specialties
Current• Manages and supports the IL Hospital Medicine Service Line, encompassing 9 hospitals, 200+ physician FTEs (supporting through a dyad partnership), 6 APC FTEs, and 5 administrative team members to facilitate daily operations, key quality and production metrics, & strategic initiatives (including Epic Go-lives, new program development, and a medical group merger).• Formulates and executes on yearly budgets, achieving significant gross revenue: (2020) $86.4M (9.3% better than budget), (2021) $96.8M (16.1% better than budget), (2022) $99.6M (7.1% better than budget), and (2023) $110.4M (12.9% better than budget). This includes strategic program expansion & development, LOCUMs utilization cost-cutting initiatives, and the calculation/disbursement of annual clinician quality and production incentives exceeding $10M+ (YE 2020-2024).• Communicates and partners with Site and Regional Executives about program performance and site-specific strategic initiatives, focusing on quality metrics (ALOS, Patient Experience & Discharge Throughput).• Leading a multifaceted project team for the strategic design and implementation of new statewide scheduling software to streamline shift tracking, moonlighting payments, reporting needs, and future schedule automation for IL Hospital Medicine.• Supported the development and roll-out of an early referral pilot program for palliative care at a 645-bed hospital, which resulted in a cost-savings of 26% per patient across the 3 months (estimated annualized savings of $2.7M) with an additional downstream savings tied to the 2 reduction in overall LOS in the pilot group compared to baseline. This study was published in the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine®.• Previously provided operational support and oversight for several other Hospital Based Service Lines including Critical Care, Palliative Care, Bariatric/Weight Mgmt., & Integrative Medicine.
