Mr. Zieg has spent over 25 years in the commercial real estate industry with experience in finance, transaction structuring, credit, legal, asset management and recovery, and information technology. Mr. Zieg currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Director of Tenet Equity, a NNN Lease REIT providing financing for companies in the middle market. Prior to joining Tenet, Mr. Zieg co-founded STORE Capital Corporation (NYSE: STOR), a NNN Lease REIT, in May 2011 and served as its Executive Vice President—Portfolio Management, Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer until February 2018. While Mr. Zieg and his colleagues ran STORE, the company grew from inception to over $6 billion in assets. During this time, Mr. Zieg was a member of the executive management team as well as the investment committee that reviewed and approved all investments made by the company, which approximated 400 transactions through 2018. In addition to managing the investment portfolio, Mr. Zieg also oversaw the construction department, the customer service department, and the IT department, and led all custom software and IT systems design, development, and implementation.Prior to co-founding STORE, Mr. Zieg was Senior Vice President—Portfolio Management at Spirit Finance Corporation (subsequently Spirit Realty Capital, Inc. NYSE: SRC) from 2007 to February 2010, where he oversaw portfolio management for a net-lease real estate portfolio in excess of $3.5 billion. From 1998 to 2007, Mr. Zieg was with the national law firm of Kutak Rock LLP where he was a partner focusing on capital markets transactions. Mr. Zieg received a B.B.A. degree in Finance from Texas A&M University and a J.D. degree from the University of Denver.
