I am a trial lawyer, focusing on IP litigation and counseling for financial services companies, branded pharma, and other cutting-edge innovators, in a variety of technical areas. My experience includes all aspects of litigation, including first chair roles at trial (both district court and PTAB). My work has been highlighted in the IAM Patent 1000 rankings of Patent Professionals multiple times, with recent rankings describing me as "an experienced first-chair trial lawyer with a glittering track record representing insurance companies, banks and exchanges in commercially consequential patent duels." A victory of mine, in which the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe) faced a damages model of over a billion dollars, was profiled by IP Law360 in its "How They Won It"​ series. I led a strategy for Cboe that forced the patentee to consent to adverse judgment right before openings were to begin. The rulings underlying that strategy were affirmed by the Federal Circuit, and the District Court awarded Cboe over six million dollars in attorneys'​ fees. This victory was profiled by the National Law Journal in its selection of Fish & Richardson to the Intellectual Property Hot List. Other victories, for clients like USAA and MIAX, have also grabbed headlines.My practice also includes counseling clients concerning IP due diligence and patent acquisition, monetization, and enforcement strategies. I also provide strategic counsel to early stage companies. In 2017, I was one of thirty lawyers (and the only IP lawyer) named a "Rising Star" by the New York Law Journal, a recognition of Manhattan's most promising lawyers under 40.Outside work, I'm most interested in wine, cooking, cars, music, HiFi, the New York Football Giants, escaping to LBI whenever possible, and my family, most especially my wife Gena and our twin sons, Luca and Dean.

Responsibilities included management of the auction model, purchasing and inventory management, vendor negotiations, and customer service. Managed 10+ person staff.
