About Michael Serikow

I am completing my final year of my nuclear physics Ph.D. at Michigan State University. With over eight years of experience in experimental nuclear physics, I have developed a deep understanding of particle and radiation interactions with matter, applying first principles to design and operate cutting-edge gas detectors, including active targets, micromegas, and gas electron multipliers. The construction of such devices requires intimate knowledge of analog and digital electronics along with vacuum systems.I used these detectors to probe the structure of exotic nuclei and aided in publishing multiple articles. To go from raw data to result, I employed well-known and emerging data analysis techniques including stiff numerical ODE solvers, large-scale data frames, unsupervised data clustering, and Python package creation and maintenance. To see these in action, check out attpc_engine and e20009_analysis on Github in my Contact Info section.I am actively searching for companies and opportunities where I can apply my skill set to complicated real-world problems that can make a positive and meaningful impact on people's lives.
