From 2004 up until now I hold responsibility for a high level technical direction and all enterprise information technology decisions within Fidelity Financial Planning and Guidance Technology portfolio as well as a back office system, batch infrastructure and analytics platform. Reporting to a Senior Vice President I am responsible for not only technical decision making but also for mentoring, education of a 100+ developers within the planning and guidance organization. I have organized and am currently chairing a Technical Review Board responsible for setting:• Technical Development Standards• Development Best Practices• Ensuring Compliance to Company Standards• Security and Scalability Review.• Hardware AnalysisAs a technical leader of the Planning and Guidance group I have helped in budget management and resource estimations for all of the on-going projects within the organization. As a Principal Architect I am also playing a role in the larger technical strategy of Fidelity as a whole and am an official representative of Planning Group with ETAG (Enterprise Technical Architecture Group) within Fidelity. From 2003 to late 2004, before I joined Planning and Guidance Group I was responsible for Java Based Software Development Infrastructure across all Fidelity E-Business division. As an Architect of this effort I was responsible for requirements gathering, consensus building and cooperation between a large number of development organizations, in order to produce a single infrastructure product that would satisfy all of the requirements and yet provide a path of minimal expenses and efforts for migration.The main goal of this infrastructure effort was unification of application development tools and practices. The software infrastructure leveraged MDA (Model Driven Architecture) approach in order to fulfill complex software feature requirements. During the course of this project we have developed a comprehensive software toolkit based on J2EE and J2SE platforms. In the core of the system was a homegrown mutable, fully J2EE compatible standalone container, that allowed application developers to work without dependency on a real J2EE server container and resulted in a substantial financial savings in licensing costs. It is impossible to describe the full capabilities and functionality of this system within this document, only to say that this effort was able to unite separate application development groups able to share code, implementations, data and business logic.From 2002 to 2003 I was responsible for optimization of a real-time market feeds in order to support new Fidelity Investments Active Trader Pro effort. This R&D project has developed a new Streaming Encoding Format (SEF) protocol that resulted into an issued United States Patent (6,657,568).

As a Senior Architect I was responsible for internet security and scalability of the company’s web site. The aspects of security included information security and access control. The company owned a large database of customer information including, credit card information, demographics and billing. The security architecture addressed both intranet and internet security aspects. In addition I was responsible for design and delivery of a distributed batch infrastructure that included provisioning system and a number of communication modules with an ability to communicate to an external provisioning companies, such as Bell Atlantic, various utility and wireless companies.
