I am also a fluent English speaker and writer with an inclination to leadership. ◆ I am an organic synthetic chemist and I have worked in a research laboratory for 3 years while doing my diploma thesis for my BSc and MSc degrees. I am experienced in synthesizing glycogen phosphorylase (GP) inhibitors, some of them exhibiting fluorescence properties and acting as molecular "switches". I am familiar with taking NMR spectra and also interpreting NMR as well as MS spectra. Furthermore, I am also familiarized with using spectrophotometer/spectrofluorometer and assessing UV-Vis and Fluorescence spectra. Having collaborated with research biologists as part of my MSc thesis, I have knowledge on the principles of fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy and immunocytochemistry.◆ I am familiarized with working in Windows OS and using general purpose applications (Microsoft Office) and chemistry specific applications (ChemDraw, MestreNova etc.).
