I've been teaching grades 3-12 art and computers for 29 years. During this time I have presented at several state and national conferences in both art & technology. I was our district Kansas Teacher of the Year nominee for 2018, and the 2019/2023 TSA KS Advisor of the Year. In 2020 I was named Teacher of Influence. I was inducted into the Kansas Hall of Fame in June 2022. I have several TSA state champions, and a 3rd place at the National level. During my teaching career I have had student work published in professional books, place in Scholastic as well as one student place 3rd in the Congressional Art Competition. I sponsor SAFE, a peer education group that promotes wearing seatbelts and putting your phone away while driving. I am in charge of our student-run coffee shop. I’m pretty proud of my students and hope I’m making a difference in their lives.
