I am an AI Engineer and researcher focusing on R&D in AI Planning, Scheduling, Routing, Discrete Optimization and Decision Making. I focus mainly on symbolic AI, which is still necessary for systems, where the quality, correctness and explain-ability of the provided solutions is critical. I have an extensive experience both in academy and in industry, which gives me unique opportunity to bridge the gap between pure and applied science. I have first studied AI Planning at the university of Strathclyde by prof. Derek Long. Afterwards I have moved to Prague where I have joined the Artificaial Intelligence Center (then Agent Technology Center) led by prof. Michal Pechoucek. I started to work on several projects as a scientific programmer, the most important was an US EOARD funded project on UAV mission planning and collision avoidance, which culminated in the deployment on hardware UAVs and successful field tests. I worked as a main programmer on the AI part of the project. Afterwards, I started to pursue PhD at AIC, successfully defending my thesis in 2018. The topic of my thesis is privacy-preserving multi-agent planning, which combines the concept of privacy from information theory with planning for multiple independent parties. Apart from theoretical research I have participated on the ELECTRIFIC EU Horizon 2020 project where my work focused on supporting the development of advanced multi-destination routing algorithm for electric vehicles.After my PhD I started to focus on the industry more. My experience includes work for Meandair, a startup company based in Delft, Netherdlands, where my role was to perform a comprehensive and practical study on algorithms usable for planning in the aviation domain with moving obstacles, such as severe weather. I also worked at Meandair in its product development. I worked for the Oqton company on a small R&D project on including intra-factory logistic planning in their factory OS scheduling system.At my current position at SLB (formerly Schlumberger), I am the main developer of a planning and scheduling system, used both internally and for clients. The main intricacies lie in the heavily numeric and temporal constraints resulting from the target domain (Energy & Oil)
