About Michał Bielecki

Technical Principal with strong engineering management experience. Producing pretty decent PHP and Java code (15 years and counting). Knows how to architect and code solutions from scratch, but also knows Symfony, Spring Boot, Zend, Magento and few other frameworks. Hates when asked for design patterns people answer “framework does it for me”. Knows the difference between git rebase and git merge, and also knows how to rewrite the history to squash or amend commits. Is able to write complex SQL, and understands how to debug and optimise slow running queries. In order to analyse issues will use all the tools available to his disposal, be it grep, Grafana, Kibana, NewRelic, Datadog, Sumologic or others. Having experienced way too many race condition issues, knows the importance of object immutability, atomicity of transactions, and thread safety. Can apply SOLID principles in real life and will pat engineers on the back for contributing functional code. Knows how important CI/CD is together with reliable automated test suites and understands how lack of vertical slicing and rapid prototyping can lead to projects becoming disasters. Can run a grooming or a retrospective session with participants staying awake (and mostly enjoying it). Has a couple of success stories about leading a large company-wide cross-domain technical initiatives. And most importantly – can’t wait to teach all of the above to your engineers.
