Local Java User Group leader since 2013. I've seen the group grow from 350 to over 2000 members.During that time (except COVID period) the group was able to organize meetups on a monthly basis, establish a sponsorship model, cooperate with other groups and communities, cooperate with commercial events and organizations on event promotions, co-organize a few events and conferences, bring top world speakers as well as promote the local talent and ideas.The group is not limiting itself to just JVM world and promotes the best practices, architecture patterns as well as other technology and disciples.

In this role, I've been fully responsible for the management and growth of a strategic division within Epam.The challenges included: building leadership team, hyper-scaling growth of the group, introducing Epams' best practices, building relations with senior stakeholders, aligning with the market trends, company goals, and other Practice units (e.g. Data, Digital).

In this role, I've been fully responsible for one of the key customer engagements. My role was evolving, transitioning from hands-on delivery in collaboration with customer Product Managers, to coordination of several delivery streams and ensuring project governance. Throughout, I collaborated closely with the customer C-level executives to align with their goals.The engagement started in a single location with 5 engineers and expanded within 2 years into over 100 FTE across multiple locations (teams delivering from Poland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Mexico, and other locations).Delivery Management related challenges included among others: building and developing customer relations, organization of delivery governance, building relationships with the customer stakeholders, building Epam delivery teams (defining requirements, hiring, onboarding, succession planning), supporting team agile processes, escalation management, reporting on the delivery progress.Deliverables included: refactoring of legacy applications, cloud transition, agile transformation, the introduction of a DevOps mindset, portfolio governance organization, and development of new applications and services.Beyond the account-related responsibilities, I actively engaged in global processes for title promotions of other Delivery Managers, facilitated the implementation of best practices at the Gdansk location, and provided support to Epam's Delivery organization in Poland.

In the Engineering management role, I contributed to Epam’s growth, as a part of the Gdansk office,then the Polish organization, and later the CEE Regional Management group. I had under my supervision a group of over 60 people, for which I was fully responsible for hiring, seamless onboarding, compensation structure, and performance management.Some of the initiatives I lead included: building technical interviewing capabilities & processes, implementing internal Academy Programs, Gdansk Innovations Lab (R&D program), representing the Delivery, and collaborating with Marketing on external campaigns and events.

I joined DC during it transformation from a Service company to a Software House/DigitalTransformation Agency. I’ve been responsible for leading initiatives and building capabilities relatedmainly to JVM technologies.
