Two months of experience. First month where I visited each of the five Kleeman’s factories for a week. I got hands on experience on how each factory works, how it was organised and how the office of each factory was communicating with the product line. Kleemann has the uniqueness of manufacturing based on their orders rather than making a stock, so it was interesting to see the methods they use to overcome the problems arising from that approach. I talked with the workers, and followed the whole product line, starting from small components until a complete elevator. The second month I did a seminar in Kleemann in a group, where they taught us in detail how their types of elevators work. The lectures also included marketing, research and development, drawing and design, enterprise resource planning and management.
