My second step in Athens, The Newtons has been a very demanding but also very rewarding environment. I managed to participate in various and important projects for some of the biggest clients in Greece such as Piraeus Bank and its products, BSH (Siemens, Bosch and Pitsos appliances), Aegean Airlines, LIDL Super Markets and OPAP (Betting Company). I was lucky to work with very creative and experienced people and be part of the making and the launch of huge ad campaigns that stood out.

Magnet was the first company I worked for in Athens and my presence there helped me familiarize myself with a bigger and more demanding advertising sector. In 8 months, I had the chance to work for companies and organisations such as: Cyta Hellas, FrieslandCampina (ΝΟΥΝΟΥ, Milner, Fina), The Smile of the Child, JTI, Mentos, Chupa Chups, Attiki Honey, Ydrogerios Insurances, Factory Outlet.

I started in advertising as a part-time junior Copywriter and it took me 8 months to earn a full employment. One of my first assignments was the re-branding of the company that resulted in the present logo. In addition, I took part in the team that has won Masoutis S.A. (the biggest retail market chain in Northern Greece) account for 4 consecutive years.

While being a junior copywriter at Fotone, I had the chance to work for LOWE Athens for 2 months. During these months I had the chance to go through all creative departments of a big advertising agency. I dedicated the first month to day-to-day assignments for clients like Kotsovolos (Dixons) and Sony. The second month though, I participated in the team that ran for the HellasOnLine account at a spec held on November 2011. In addition, I blogged at the company's Hellowe.gr under the nickname Mike Karntasis. My column was a humorous description of what a young advertiser from Thessaloniki encounters in Athens' advertising world and Karntasis’ segment reached top 5 as far as readers’ approval is concerned.
