I am working for Intersos Hellas in program Helios in Greece by providing information and support to official recognized refugees to move on with their life in Greece. Helios is a program supported by International Organization of Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Greek government. From my position I try to contact with the real estate market and landlords or apartment owners in Greece and convince them to rent their appartments to the enrolled to this program refugees. I visit apartments and I use my skills and my knowledge as a civil engineer to check their status and decide if they are eligible or not for Helios program. I collaborate smoothly with my colleauges in this multicultural environment in English language. I have worked hard and achieved my goals following each time the instruction I have and the organization's procedures and code of ethics.Responsibilities:• Providing support to officially recognized refugees in Helios Program to the accomondation part.• Responsible to get in contact with real estate agents, landlords and apartment owners in Thessaly area in order to find valid apartments for Helios project.• Providing information to all recognized refugees about Helios project through presentations and support to every step from the beginning to the end (contract sign).• Providing support after the contract is signed in order to be sure for the smooth operation of the program (montly subsidies).• In charge of the accomondation part of program Helios in Trikala area and in Volos area.• Keeping schedules and deadlines, creating daily and weekly reports, tables, data collection, updating internal platforms.• Apartment check through visits, assessment of their condition and suitability.

I was hired as a civil engineer in charge of a five members team. I was responsible for the smooth functionality of the refugee camps at Koutsochero and Volos. I was working on a multicultural environment communicating smoothly with all other actors in English language. Sceduling and conducting small or large scale NFIs or food distributions.• Making sure that all the safety measures are followed by everyone.• General Supervision.• Working in order to establish framework agreements, depending on DRC’s needs, technical descriptions, choose the best solution depending on the budget available, supervise projects.
