> Led team’s secondary metabolism informatics: released The Atlas of Biosynthetic gene Cluster (ABC) portal on the Integrated Microbial Genomes platform.> Supervised one FTE.> Developed ClusterScout, a tool for the rapid identification of Biosynthetic Gene Clusters on the IMG portal. > Developed an algorithm for the discovery of expanded gene families.

> Improved the structural annotation of T. thermophila. > Improved the current annotation of the Toxoplasma gondii reference genome. > Provided automatic and manual annotation of approximately 60 Toxoplasma gondii strains, and of the Hammondia hammondi and the Gregarina niphandrodes genomes. > Acted as liaison between the J. Craig Venter Institute and external collaborators and the scientific community. > Developed new and improved existing bioinformatics pipelines.> Performed whole genome sequence searches against protein and nucleotide databases.> Built gene training sets and run a variety of gene finders.> Assembled transcripts from raw NGS RNA-seq data to use for annotation improvement.
