On July 1st 2022, I started working at Axis Commincations AB, as part of their regulatory team. The team focuses on product certifications in order to show compliance with directives such as RED, EMC, LVD, etc. As a Regulatory Engineer, my main task is to specialize in regulatory requirements related to product safety (especially concerning safety standard EN 62368-1 and UL), but I also help out with all other certification areas.

I founded MedicWave together with my colleague Tobias Persson in 2005. I worked full time for MedicWave between 2005 and 2012. Some of the different responsibilities that I had during these years were overlapping. Nevertheless, I gained experience in recruitment, economics, contracts, sales, bioinformatics in proteomics and open innovation. MedicWave employed a new CEO in 2011 and a new Vice CEO in 2012. In 2012, I was employed full time by HMS Industrial Networks, but I still help out with MedicWave in my spare time and I still perform my duties as a Board Member.MedicWave provides state-of-the-art software tools for Quantitative Proteomics, for pre-processing (noise reduction, dimension reduction, etc.) and data mining (discriminative feature detection, biomarker detection, principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares (PLS), classification, cluster analysis, etc.), and protein identification and quantitation. MedicWave provides tools for data exploration, multivariate statistics and two group comparison of both Proteomics and Metabolomics datasets.Spectrolyzer is MedicWave's main software product. It contains a large set of data processing, data exploration and data mining techniques combined with an extensive set of statistical evaluation methods and a comprehensive amount of tools for statistical presentation and visualization of analyzed results. Spectrolyzer works with mass spectrometry data (spectra) from different instrument vendors (e.g. Thermo, Waters, Bruker, and Agilent) and specializes in predictive data mining in very large data.

I worked as a technical sales representative for MedicWave between 2010 and 2012. I worked together with the company’s sales manager Pehr Rehnberg and the company’s CSO Dr. Artur Suchwalko. During my time working as a technical sales representative I travelled a lot around Europe, mostly to Germany but also to England, Sweden and other countries. I also attended 20 different conferences in mass spectrometry and proteomics.

I became the CEO of MedicWaves sometime between December 2006 and January 2007, a position I held until the end of December 2010. Between 2005 and 2009 (as well as part time during 2010) I focused on Business Development and managing the company's many algorithm development projects. I worked with R&D and project management until the company employed Dr. Artur Suchwalko as CSO and the head of our R&D. From 2006 and until 2009 I recruited people from Poland and China to work on algorithm projects for the company that I managed. At most we had 30 people employed.After 2009 MedicWave focused mainly on employing developers in Wroclaw, Poland. With the help of Dr. Artur Suchwalko, the company created a very competent team of more than 10 people (doctors and doctoral candidates), specializing in proteomics, mathematical statistics, algorithm analysis, development of numerical algorithms, information theory, probability theory, complexity theory, and the development of algorithms for data mining, dimension reduction and optimization. Our team developed the two products MBS and Spectrolyzer.During these years, I collaborated a lot through MedicWave with Professor Roman A. Zubarev from Karolinska Institutet. Roman is mainly known for the development of the fragmentation technique of electron-capture dissociation (ECD).In January 2011 we hired a new CEO, and I became the COO instead. I remained in that role (as well as in the role of a Technical Sales Representative) until May 2012. After that I mainly continued to work for MedicWave as an active Board Member.

Lypson Intelligent Systems (aka Lypson Intelligenta System) is a consultant company that was founded by me and my colleague Tobias Persson in 2004. Lypson focused from the beginning on developing software applications and embedded software solutions for other companies, but since 2009 it mostly focuses on supporting New Horizon Game Studios.

I worked for Lypson Intelligent Systems (aka Lypson Intelligenta System) as a development engineer between 2004 and 2009, focusing mainly on consulting projects related to software development. While working for Lypson I acquired experience in project management, web development, IT, and game development. Together with Tobias Persson we developed software for embedded systems owned by Phoniro, Katshing Netsales, MedicPen and Halmstad University. We also developed a game engine for Nintendo Game Boy Advance in C++ and several games for different mobile phones in Java. I stopped working as a consultant for Lypson from January 2010, when I began to focus on MedicWave instead.

In January 2019 I began my new career at HMS as a Senior Development Engineer. I started out by becoming responsible for product certifications (focusing on conformity assessment, type approval compliance, and regulatory analysis). Thus, I began specializing in understanding different directives/legislations and their amendments (e.g. CE - RED, MED, RID, etc., FCC, UL, and other country specific regulations) as well as all the different industry standards for radio frequency spectrum, EMC, safety, durability and resistance. I now have a network of colleagues working for different accredited certification bodies, including local laboratories in different countries (from Middle East to Americas, to Asia and Australasia). During these certification projects, I collaborate a lot with HMS' project managers and product managers as well as certain important customers who want to certify their brandlabeled products in other countries. In addition to that, I am also involved in helping HMS to enter new business markets such as the Railway and Maritime industry, as part of my work with certifications.I am also working with component examinations.

I was elected for the position of board member at the local trade union "Akademikerföreningen" representing engineers at HMS Industrial Networks in Halmstad on February 26th 2019. On December 1st 2021 I became the chairman of the board at the local trade union at HMS, a position that I humbly declined from on April 27th 2022 in order to pursue other work challenges.

In January 2014 I began my new career at HMS as an industrial Ph.D. student. HMS, in cooperation with Halmstad University, has employed me as a Ph.D. student to carry out research within innovation and business development. I will focus on deepening my knowledge of technology and innovation. During a five-year tenure I’ll be spending about 80% of my time on research and 20% on projects within the field of innovation, new technology and business development. My research concerned organizational innovation, with special focus: organizational behavior, employee motivation, embedded innovation, business model innovation, innovation strategies, innovation ecosystems, and long-term innovation survival.I was stationed at HMS HQ in Halmstad, but I was also registered as a Ph.D. student in Innovation Sciences at Halmstad University’s School of Business and Engineering.

I started working at HMS Industrial Networks AB on June 1st 2012. By the end of December 2013, I had completed 17 different projects and gained experience in different networks for several of HMS’s Anybus embedded systems solutions. I have mostly worked with PROFINET-related products, but I’ve also come in contact with products employing PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, CANopen or CC-Link networks.HMS focuses on communication technology for industrial automation equipment. Due to my experience and knowledge in applying classic grounded theory as a research methodology, as well as my experience in qualitative and quantitative research, I was hired as a lecturer (through my consultant company Lypson) by Halmstad University (in 2019, 2020, and 2021) and by Halmstad Executive Education and Research AB (HUER) (in 2018) to participate in an education program for the Swedish Armed Forces (Swedish: Försvarsmakten). The program was requested by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (Swedish: Försvarets materielverk, FMV). The program occurred between January and June each year. it was led by professor Mike Danilovic.I participated in the planning and implementation of various parts of the program related to my specific lectures, both in Halmstad and in Stockholm, Sweden, and in carrying out seminars related to methodology and research, as well as conducting individual supervision for some of the slightly above 50 officers each year, half of which were army captains and the other half were army majors. I taught mainly in two areas: qualitative research with focus on classic and non-classic grounded theory as well as statistics and quantitative research. The program was praised by its participants from the very beginning.

Embedded and Intelligent Systems Industrial Graduate School (EISIGS) is a graduate school with high industrial relevance focusing on cooperating embedded systems for intelligent applications, with a special touch on innovation. The goal of EISIGS is to provide the right environment for producing qualified, independent researchers (PhDs) that understand, advance, and champion embedded and intelligent systems research. Since April 1st 2014, I am a member of the “EISIGS reference group“. The goal of the “EISIGS reference group” is to ensure that the industrial graduate school is run and developed according to the plans and intentions, including coordination with participating companies.The KK-foundation’s aim is to raise the Swedish industry’s competitiveness by supporting research that is relevant for the industry. The KK-foundation has several research programs (environments) available for this purpose. At Halmstad University their program (environment) is focusing on research for innovation. The EISIGS research school is a part of this environment in cooperation with the industry.

The New Horizon RPG is a Science Fantasy roleplaying game that I’ve been working on together with my colleague Ian for many years. It started as a hobby project and simply grew into its own after many years of hard work. I’ve gained a lot of experience by working on the New Horizon RPG during these years, mostly when it comes to project management, group dynamics, fictional writing, graphics design, game design, and RPG development.Even though New Horizon came into existence in 2003, my role as a tabletop game designer did not start until 2006, when we stopped developing MegaMan New Horizon for Game Boy Advance and created New Horizon instead. New Horizon is mainly about tabletop role playing, and we have developed several RPG-books about our Science Fantasy game. The New Horizon RPG is still one of my main projects to this day.In June 2013, New Horizon Game Studios was renamed to Rusty Rowboat, and the company now had two offices, one in USA and one in Sweden.

I started learning how to create high quality bitmap sprite graphics in 1998. Between 2003 and 2008 I developed sprite graphics for several different games, including a fan-based Game Boy Advance project named Mega Man New Horizon and several mobile phone games. In 2009 I started focusing all my time on MedicWave and all my sprite-related activities were put on hold at that point as well.
